Computer-technical expertise: may SMS-messages be used as evidence in court?

Independent Institute of Legal Expertise received an application for the conducting of expert study in order to determine whether the text messages, that have been sent to the cellular terminal, could be be edited or change, to define whether text messages have been received from those phone numbers that were listed in the details of messages, to confirm that indicated data reports are true.
As a result of research IILE’s expert found that the formation of messages in the file system of cellular terminal is not possible either through its own interface, or using a computer. Besides expert IILE also found that saving or copying messages from other folders to folders "Inbox" using embedded software is impossible.
So, as expertise established, messages that have been sent from a particular phone number to cellular terminal Nokia 2630, can be used in court as evidence.
